Echoing Hills update COVID-19 Virus

3.14.2020
To Parents and/or Guardians, Employees and Stakeholders:

As we continue to face an unprecedented pandemic in our community, Echoing Hills is diligently monitoring the COVID-19 situation across the United States and here in Ohio. Echoing Hills is committed to the health and welfare of all individuals supported, employees, families, visitors, and stakeholders.

On Friday evening, Amy Acton, MD, MPH, Director of the Ohio Department of Health, issued the directive to restrict access to all Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. This means that only those personnel who are absolutely necessary for the operation of the Home are permitted access in the Home.

Also included in this order are instructions for screening all personnel for COVID-19 each time they enter the Home. Screening protocols will be according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), and those from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
Homes that are affected by this order in the Echoing Hills provider network include:

Athens County (Echoing Hills of Southeast Ohio)
Altamonte Home
University Estates Home
Harner Road Home

Montgomery County (Echoing Hills of Southwest Ohio)
Echoing Woods Residential Center
Echoing Valley Residential Center

Coshocton County (Echoing Hills of Central Ohio)

Keiner Home
Rayl Home

Lorain County (Echoing Hills of Northern Ohio)

We remain vigilant and abide by the best advice of the local, state, and federal governments, the CDC and CMS, public health authorities including ODH and DODD, and medical experts to maintain a safe environment and for the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support as well as the staff who provide services. We understand the hardship this may cause and appreciate your patience during this unprecedented outbreak.
